Anna Zirbel, MFA Theatre Management (’04), has recently been named the new executive director of the Thrasher-Horne Center in Orange Park, FL. The Thrasher-Horne Center, located on St. Johns River State College’s Campus, opened in 2004 and has played host to hundreds of theatrical, artistic, and cultural events. Since joining the Thrasher-Horne Center’s team in 2005, Anna has served as both the Director of Marketing and Sales and Box Office Manager. Previous Executive Director, Denton Yockey, says “Anna’s experience, discipline and organizational skills make her the perfect leader to take the Thrasher-Horne Center to the next level.”
Outside of her work at the Thrasher-Horne Center, Anna’s professional background in Orange Park also includes at-large Board member of the Orange Park Community Theatre and founder and president of the Florida Association of Ticketing (or FLOAT). FLOAT is an association of ticket professionals concerned with the support for, the preservation of, and further development of fair ethics and high standards with regard to marketing, sales and services in the ticketing industry in the state of Florida and its surrounding areas. The FSU Fine Arts Ticket Office is a Member Organization of FLOAT.
