Auditions

General Auditions and Callbacks

Please read through this information carefully! This should act as a check list for you during this process.  If you have any questions or anything is unclear, please contact us at fsugeneralauditions@gmail.com.

Auditions for the 2021/22 season will be a hybrid process- general auditions will be a video submission with callbacks taking place in person. All general submissions should be sent to fsugeneralauditions@gmail.com.


FALL 2021 AUDITIONS

The video submission is due by 11:59pm on Thursday, August 19, 2021.  Late submissions will not be accepted.  Callbacks will be announced on Sunday (8/22/21) evening and will occur Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings in person. All general submissions should be sent to fsugeneralauditions@gmail.com.

To be considered for Newsies, Moon Man Walk, Last Stop on Market Street, and Cinderella. . . .

  • You MUST submit two contrasting monologues totaling 120 seconds or 2 minutes. The monologues should be submitted as one file NOT two. You must send an actual video file. We will not accept links (YouTube, Vimeo, Google Drive, Dropbox).
  • Your file must be submitted with the following title: LastnameFirstnameType Ex. SmithJaneMonologue
  • Submit a headshot! You may take a photo of yourself using you’re your smartphone or a camera against a neutral background.  Please send the headshot as a Jpg file with the following title: LastnameFirstnameHeadshot Ex. SmithJaneHeadshot
  • Submit your audition form*! Please make sure you have submitted a completed School of Theatre General Auditions Fall 2021 Formstack form*.  If you do not submit a form, you will NOT be considered for a role.

*The audition form will be available in the coming weeks

In addition to the monologues to be considered for Newsies, Last Stop on Market Street and Cinderella. . . .

  • You MUST also submit 16-32 Bars of a contemporary pop/rock or contemporary musical theatre song acapella. This should be a separate video file from your monologue. Please do not combine!
  • You must send an actual video file. We will not accept links (YouTube, Vimeo, Google Drive, Dropbox).
  • Your file must be submitted with the following title: LastnameFirstnameType Ex. SmithJaneSong

SPRING 2022 AUDITIONS

The video submission is due by 11:59pm on Wednesday, January 5, 2021.  Late submissions will not be accepted.  Callbacks will be announced on Sunday (1/9/22) evening and will occur Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings in person. All general submissions should be sent to fsugeneralauditions@gmail.com.

Auditions are open to the public and you do not have to be a current FSU student to participate.
