General Auditions and Callbacks

Please read through this information carefully! This should act as a checklist for you during the audition process.  If you have any questions or anything is unclear, please contact us at

Auditions for the 2021/22 season will be a hybrid process- general auditions will be a video submission with callbacks taking place in person. All general submissions should be sent to by the designated dates.


The video submission is due by 11:59 pm on Wednesday, January 5, 2022.  Late submissions will not be accepted.  Callbacks will be announced on Sunday (1/9/22) evening and will occur Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings in person. All general submissions should be sent to

To be considered for Men on Boats, and As You Like It. . . .

  • You MUST submit two contrasting monologues totaling 120 seconds or 2 minutes. You should also slate in your video (do not worry your 2 minutes does not begin until after you slate). Please state your full name and the character and show your monologue is from. The monologues should be submitted as one file NOT two. You must send an actual video file. We will not accept links (YouTube, Vimeo, Google Drive, Dropbox). If you have issues sending your video files due to size email us at and we will assist you.
  • Your file must be submitted with the following title: LastnameFirstnameType Ex. SmithJaneMonologue
  • Submit a headshot! You may take a photo of yourself using your smartphone or a camera against a neutral background.  Please send the headshot as a Jpg file with the following title: LastnameFirstnameHeadshot Ex. SmithJaneHeadshot. Your headshot can be uploaded on the final tab of the audition form.
  • Submit your audition form! Please make sure you have submitted a completed School of Theatre General Auditions Spring 2021 Formstack form.  If you do not submit a form, you will NOT be considered for a role.
Auditions are open to the public and you do not have to be a current FSU student to participate.
