Alumni of the School of Theatre can be seen and found working on Broadway, Off-Broadway, Regional Theatre, Touring Companies, Performing Arts Centers, Television, Film, and Universities around the United States and the world.

SEASON PRODUCTIONS

Join the Creative Force: Actors, technicians, and theater enthusiasts - contribute your passion to our electrifying Season

The School of Theatre produces 5 mainstage productions every season: two musicals, two plays, and one Theatre for Young Audience performance. Whether you’re a seasoned performer or curious about the magic behind the scenes, we encourage all students to audition and get involved. 

Eager to perform? General auditions are held twice a year – in August and December. Do you have a passion for organization, marketing, or audience relations? We offer exciting opportunities in Stage Management, Ticketing, House Management, Marketing, and Donor Relations. Love costumes, lights, sets, or props? During the performance season, you can collaborate with our talented teams in the Costume Shop, Lighting Department, Paint Shop, Scenic Studio, and Properties Shop. Learn valuable skills, have fun, and see your work come to life onstage!

LONDON THEATRE PROGRAM

Spend a semester abroad in a vibrant theatre scene, steeped in history and rich with experience

Imagine this: living in London for a semester, totally immersed in the world of theatre! FSU’s London Theatre program lets you do just that. Want to hone your acting in the city of Shakespeare himself? 

Learn from London’s theatre scene first-hand! These programs give you access to a faculty with deep connections to the city’s vibrant theatre community.

Whether you’re into acting, writing, or bringing shows to life backstage, you’ll train with both renowned London artists and FSU’s amazing faculty. Wanna learn more? Hit up “International Programs” to see what epic adventures await!

Florida State University is in Tallahassee, a city buzzing with creativity. Beyond FSU’s incredible Theatre program, you’ll find yourself surrounded by opportunities. OUR HISTORY

Founded in 1973 under the vision and leadership of then-Dean Richard G. Fallon, the School of Theatre enjoys a national reputation, in large part, because of the excellence of its undergraduate and graduate programs, as well as a gifted faculty of nationally recognized professional artists/educators.
