Emma Calabrese
Emma Calabrese (She/Her) is a dynamic theatre-maker currently operating in Tallahassee, Florida. She is now in her final year as an MFA Theatre Management Candidate at Florida State University (FSU) and serving as the Associate Director of Community Engagements for the School of Theatre. Emma completed her undergraduate education at Emory University, where she received BA’s in Theatre and English and a Minor in Business with a focus on arts management. She graduated Suma Cum Laude and received the Excellence in Leadership Award from Theatre Emory. After graduation, Emma began her professional career as the Development Manager for Synchronicity Theatre in Atlanta. She quickly rose through the ranks and was promoted to Development Director. During her time with Synchronicity, she raised government donations by 96%, doubled the annual yield from their major fundraiser, and increased foundation giving by $200,000. Emma also received the 30 Under 30 award from the National Young Professional Network and was headhunted to serve on their board as their Fundraising Manager. During her time at Florida State University, Emma has continued developing her fundraising skills by joining the Board of Wanderlust Theatre on Location as their Development Manager. She has raised almost $20,000 for this very young organization. After she graduates, she hopes to continue to work in the theatre as a General Manager or Managing Director.
