Nick Maccarone is an actor, writer, filmmaker, producer, instructor, and the Co-Director of the BFA Acting Program in the School of Theatre.
His acting credits include Scandal, Law & Order: SVU, Unforgettable, Eye Candy, Elementary, Girls Against Boys, and Americana. Nick has performed at the Guthrie Theatre, Ally Theatre, and La Mama. He was also a contributing writer for Backstage Magazine and a casting reader for Broadway.
He has delivered two TEDx Talks, including one titled “6 Ways Actors and Artists Can Empower Themselves”. Nick also recently completed his feature film, Sonny Boy, which is currently being screened at film festivals across the United States. He is pursuing a master’s degree in the School of International Affairs at FSU.

Creative Works
Nick continues to work on a feature film called Sonny Boy he wrote and will play the lead in. The screenplay has been a semi and quarter-finalist in several of the country’s most competitive screenwriting competitions. The movie will be filmed in the spring of 2023.
He is also writing a young adult book called, The Adventures of Bumper Kim. The story is about a Korean-American boy who runs away from home in search of his identity.
