Brad Brock, Ed.D., Named Director of Operations for the School of Theatre

The College of Fine Arts is pleased to announce Dr. Bradley Brock has been appointed as Director of Operations for the School of Theatre as of December 12th, 2020.

In this new position, Dr. Brock will serve a crucial executive role as he joins the College of Fine Arts Leadership team, and will work with Dean James Frazier, with whom Brock worked closely with throughout his previous position as Interim Executive Director for the School of Theatre. Brock will also be working collaboratively with the recently appointed Chair for the School of Theatre, Dr. Kris Salata.

“We are delighted that Dr. Brock has stepped into this essential administrative post, continuing his 16 years of service to the University, to the College, and to the School of Theatre,” said James Frazier, Dean of the College of Fine Arts. “I am grateful that the College will continue to benefit from his knowledge and experience.”

Dr. Brock holds a Masters and Doctoral degree in higher education from Florida State University and earned his Bachelor degree from the University of Florida. Previous to his appointment of Director of Operations, Dr. Bradley Brock served as the Interim Executive Director for the School of Theatre, where his primary responsibilities included community engagement and outreach, marketing and communications, the Fine Arts Ticket Office, IT, and special events. Prior to joining the School of Theatre, Dr. Brock worked with the Dean of Students Office, as well as the Advising First department at Florida State University. He is also an active member of the National Association of Student Personnel Administrators. Dr. Brock will continue to be an asset in providing strong leadership to the administration.

“I am very proud of what the School has accomplished over the last two years and am honored to continue that work with our incredible faculty, staff, students, donors, and stakeholders in my new role as the Director of the School of Theatre,” said Dr. Brock.

Dr. Brock will continue to work collaboratively with staff and will administer strong guidance in ensuring that the School of Theaters curriculum and activities align with the goals of the department. Dr. Brock will oversee the continued success of the School of Theater’s operations while working closely with department chairs to generate initiatives that will contribute to the development and achievements of the School of Theatre within the College of Fine Arts at Florida State University.
