Ahon Gooptu is pursuing an MA in Theatre & Performance Research at Florida State University. He holds a BA in Theatre and English along with a concentration in Technology Studies from Grinnell College. This work culminated in a digital mapping project called Mapping Absence in Shakespeare and a published chapter in Shakespeare and Digital Pedagogy: Strategies for Teaching and Learning, which he co-authored with Dr. John Garrison (Professor of English, Grinnell College).
Gooptu is also an actor and writer and recently published a collection of short plays entitled All That Glistens. He has completed education internships with Steppenwolf Theatre in Chicago and Taproot Theatre in Seattle.
