Theatre Alum Produces Broadway Revival of ‘Side Show’

Darren Bagert, BFA Music Theatre (1992), is the lead producer on the Broadway revival of Side Show, a musical about the real-life conjoined twins and vaudeville performers Daisy and Violet Hilton. The play is set in the early 20th-century and is a tale of the grim lives of the Hilton sisters, who became a popular circus act that was a spectacle for gawkers.

Darren is a two-time Tony Award-winning Broadway producer who recently produced Of Mice and Men starring James Franco and Chris O’Dowd, directed by Anna D. Shapiro. Other producing credits include The Glass Menagerie starring Cherry Jones and Zachary Quinto, directed by John Tiffany, and Buyer & Cellar starring Michael Urie.
