Fat Pig

Neil LaBute’s “Fat Pig” is a provocative play that explores societal beauty standards and self-acceptance. Tom, a young professional, starts dating Helen, a brilliant and funny woman who happens to be overweight. When his shallow friend,Carter, criticizes the relationship based solely on Helen’s size, Tom is forced to confront his own prejudices and decide if he can truly embrace love outside conventional ideals of beauty. The play uses humor and harsh realities to spark conversations about body image, social pressures, and the complexities of love.

Filled with singing gangsters, a tipsy chaperone, and a dramatic love story, it’s a hilarious send-up of musical tropes, with catchy tunes and dazzling dance numbers.

Bus Stop

Bus Stop tells the story of Cherie, a nightclub singer, who finds herself pursued by Bo, a forceful young cowboy, during a snowstorm that forces a bus to stop at a roadside diner. Bo kidnaps Cherie (well, sort of) with the intention of taking her back to Montana to be his wife. Trapped in the diner, tensions flare as Bo’s domineering personality clashes with Cherie’s world-weary cynicism. The play explores themes of desire, control, and the battle between fantasy and reality.

“If You Give a Mouse a Cookie” is a delightful children’s show based on the popular book. It follows a young boy who offers a hungry mouse a cookie, setting off a chain reaction of requests. The energetic mouse needs milk for the cookie,then needs a glass to drink it, and so on! The show follows their wacky adventures, filled with singing, dancing, and a touch of gentle chaos. It’s a celebration of friendship, helping others, and the unexpected consequences of good deeds, all with a healthy dose of silliness.

The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee is a comedic musical about a group of oddball adolescents competing in the titular spelling bee. Each character has their own unique quirks and anxieties, which are explored through hilarious songs and dances. As the competition heats up, the spellers are eliminated one by one, but the show celebrates individuality and perseverance through it all.

The Miser

A comedic play about a wealthy miser named Harpagon who is obsessed with money. He prioritizes his riches over everything, even his children’s happiness. Hilarity ensues as Harpagon tries to marry a young woman himself (while his son also loves her) and forces his daughter to marry a wealthy old man. Through clever servants and hidden identities, love prevails and Harpagon’s greed is exposed.
