Lani Daes
Graphic Design and Media Specialist,Lani Daes has a B.S. in Interior Design from Florida State University. They have been a freelance graphic designer for over 5 years and see design as a tool to share the stories of others. Lani is also a published author of an honors Thesis titled Black Stage, where they conducted a creative design study that explores Afrodiasporic literature and the value of set design in telling these stories. Additionally, they are a part of several community collectives in Tallahassee, where they have assisted with event planning, marketing, and education in various capacities for 4+ years. Their experiences continue to inform their approach to design as they develop their skills to enhance their work’s social and environmental impact.
Their joys come from their community, indie films, and the occasional mid-century sofa.
