Catherine Njeri Mungai
Njeri (she/her) hails from Gilgil, Kenya. She is currently a second year MFA Theatre Management student and serves as the Community Engagement Manager in her assistantship role.
While pursuing her BA in Theatre Arts at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, Njeri cultivated a passion for mission-driven work, advocacy and representation in theatre. Prior to graduate school, she mentored youth from low-resource backgrounds and worked as the lead event planner for a nonprofit that addresses educational equity. Her ultimate professional goal is to narrow the opportunity gap that exists for BIPOC individuals within the performing arts realm.
