Casey is a professional stage manager and collaborator who has experience in theatre, dance, opera, and events. As a member of the Actors’ Equity Association, Casey has managed a variety of productions in New York City and across the country. Her expertise is rooted in resident production stage management positions, world premiere plays and musicals, and outdoor repertory. Casey previously worked at Barnard College of Columbia University, where she assisted on-campus performing arts groups with the realization of their productions and served as a mentor for student-led performing arts organizations. Favorite theatrical projects includes: 4 seasons at Merrimack Repertory Theatre, 3 seasons at the University of Delaware’s Resident Ensemble Players, 5 seasons at Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival, 4 seasons at Idaho Shakespeare Festival, Theatre for a New Audience, Looking Glass Theatre Company, Gulfshore Opera, Fort Worth Opera, Maggie Allesee National Center for Choreography, Florida Repertory Theatre, and the production of Laughter and Reflection with Carol Burnett.

Casey frequently serves as a Mentor for the Stage Management Mentor Project (SMMP) at USITT, serves on the Board of Directors as Director-at-Large for the Stage Managers’ Association of the United States, and currently serves as Vice Chair of Stage Management for Southeastern Theatre Conference. Additionally, Casey has enjoyed serving as a Professional Theatre Grant Panelist for the Florida Division of Cultural Affairs.

Casey is in the process of writing a book for Routledge/Focal Press that is focused on the communication dynamics of stage managers and how it influences the production process.

Through service and teaching, Casey strives to empower young theatrical professionals and advance the artistry of stage management across all theatrical mediums.
