Crimes of the Heart
October 5 - 14, 2012
The Lab Theatre
By Beth Henley
Directed by Matt Silva
''We've got to figure out a way to get through these bad days here''--Meg
Henley’s seminal, Pulitzer Prize-winning play, is two parts Chekhov, two parts Eudora Welty, and one part fun. For the Magrath sisters - Meg, Babe, and Lenny - family dysfunction has been their legacy since childhood. However, the latest incident now forces each sister to face the consequences of the "crimes of the heart" she has committed.
“These characters are real living breathing people dealing with deep and real issues. However, the humor that we find in these situations is not to be overlooked. There is heavy breathing drama here but also savage comedy, and it can’t be missed.”—Matt Silva, director
