BFA Programs Audition Information
All students planning to audition for either Music Theatre or Acting must make an application to Florida State University. Applications must be received by the University Admissions Office no later than December 1, 2009. No one will be allowed to audition if they have not submitted a completed application to FSU. It is not necessary for the application to the University to be complete in order to schedule the audition.
To schedule an audition, please contact the School of Theatre at 850.644.7234 regarding a specific audition time and date beginning October 1, 2009. (Please do not email the School of Theatre to schedule a BFA Acting or Music Theatre audition.) It is not required that you be accepted to Florida State University to schedule an audition. Audition slots will fill up early - please call as close to October 1st as possible.
In addition to submitting a completed university application to the University Admissions Office, prospective students must complete and submit the BFA Application Form to the School of Theatre along with the following items:
- High School and/or College Transcripts - in addition to those sent to FSU Admissions
- Resume
- 8 x 10 Photograph - Headshot
- Three Letters of Recommendation
- Typewritten Single-Page Letter Stating Your Educational and Career Goals
The application and supporting materials are due to the School of Theatre one week prior to your scheduled audition. Auditions are scheduled on a first-come, first-serve basis. There will be no make-up dates scheduled. Notification letters will be mailed after all auditions have been completed.
